Navigating Change was NXT Ministries first day conference on ‘Kingdom influence’ and what that means to the Church in its different contexts.

We had about 40 people in attendance, using the lovely ‘Coffee lounge’ at Swanbank as the backdrop for the 3 main sessions the day had a lovely relaxed feel about it.

The 3 sessions took us on a journey from understanding where we are now to looking at what the final destination of the Church should be.  The sessions were led by Rev Ashley Cooper and Rev Ron Willoughby.  The content was extremely challenging and thought provoking leading to some great discussions over coffee and lunch.

Along with the 3 main talks a variety of seminars were available from Leading Worship, Childrens work, Church Growth to Social media and small groups.  We felt that these topics were going to be the most relevant subjects for the majority of Churches (We will tackle other subjects in the future)  All the seminars were superbly delivered with relevant teaching and discussions throughout.

The day began and ended with some great relaxed Worship led by Kev Whitmore and Rebecca Wright.

Navigating Change was a great day and we look forward to being able to facilitate further training days in the future.

The revised date for the conference will now be Saturday 16th March.  We are in the process of reconfirming speakers/seminars for that date and will publish those lists as soon as we know.

Resolution is an annual Prayer and Worship event organised by NXT Ministries. This is a great way to start the New Year with the focus of giving our Lord the adoration he deserves.

This year Resolution will be held in the Swanbank coffee lounge (for a slightly more chilled out feel)

An event inspiring a movement!

ECG is what you choose to make it – a relaxing break in good company and a delightful setting or a hectic Christian Conference with a choice of activities from early morning until late in the evening. We provide great teaching and worship, a range of seminars designed to equip Christians to live well for Christ, first-rate children’s and youth work and opportunities to join in mission with local Christians. You choose how much you want to get involved! Come along and meet old friends and make new ones.

We welcome all Christians.. The speakers are chosen for their expertise not their denominational allegiance!

We are delighted to confirm that during the week Ron Willoughby will be leading a Bible Study Stream. Ron has been part of ECG since it began. Ron is a mission strategist in the Burslem Mission Methodist church and has recently co-ordinated the birth of the Stoke-on-Trent food bank.

Venture FX will be with us again providing a varied and alternative programme.
Speakers include: Shane Bishop has been the Senior Pastor of Christ Church, Illinois since 1997. President and Vice President of the Methodist conference Rev Dr Mark Wakelin and Mike King, Jo Cox- Evangelism and Contemporary Culture Officer for the Methodist church, Amy Wyatt – Assistant Pastor at Swan Bank Methodist Mission, Stoke-on-Trent, Piers Lane - Cliff College.

‘Navigating change’ is a new 1 day conference that NXT are organising in connection with the Chester & Stoke Methodist district.

The Church today needs to understand and engage the culture and community surrounding it, but there is a very real need for us to be set apart from it, to do things differently, to set new standards. ‘It’s time to move out of our comfort zone‘

This is what ‘Navigating Change’ is all about. It’s about challenging us to do new things, different things, scary things sometimes.

Come along, there will be seminars, workshops and discussions to find out what others are doing in their various fields to engage and challenge contemporary culture.
